The wind farm management company energy consult GmbH, which is part of the PNE Group, has acquired Rope Access Solutions GmbH in Bremen and integrated it into its wholly owned subsidiary MEB Safety Services GmbH (MEB).
Rope Access Solutions GmbH (RAS) is a special services provider in the field of rope access technology and offers rotor blade and tower services for wind power turbines in addition to services in other industrial sectors for work at heights and in depths. Further focal points are education and training in rope-supporting work techniques and the sale of components in the field of personal protective equipment against falls from a height (PSAgA).
MEB Safety Services GmbH was taken over by energy consult GmbH in 2018 and is now a service provider for various safety systems in wind power turbines with a focus on operating equipment tests, obstruction marking as well as fire alarm and extinguishing systems. With the integration of RAS into MEB, the current services of energy consult are excellently complemented. The PNE Group is thus further expanding its services around the operation of wind power turbines and wind farms in line with its scale-up strategy. Rope Access Solutions and MEB Safety Services will be maintained as brands.
The management of MEB consists of the Managing Directors Henning Wegner and Malte Mehrtens and will be supplemented by Alexander E. Voigt as an authorised signatory.
Henning Wegner, Managing Director of energy consult GmbH: “This business segment is a perfect addition to the services of MEB and energy consult Prüfgesellschaft. It will enable us in future to carry out tests and work on towers and rotor blades independently and to train our internal and external specialist workers in the field of PSAgA.”
Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE AG: “This is a further step towards expanding the services offered under the umbrella of the PNE Group. PNE is thus consistently continuing the strategic expansion of its business model.”
